Getting Started with CDPC: Your First Steps to Handgun Licensing

Welcome to Cranbourne Dandenong Pistol Club! If you’re looking to begin your journey towards acquiring your Category H handgun license and becoming an active member of our community, follow the steps below:

1. Join Our Discord Community

Our club uses Discord as our main communication platform. It’s where members connect, stay up to date, and receive announcements directly from the committee.

👉 Click here to join our Discord server – you’ll be prompted to create an account if you don’t already have one, and then be added straight into the CDPC community.

2. Apply for Your Provisional Handgun License

Once you’ve joined CDPC, you’re eligible to apply for your provisional Category H license through the Victoria Police e-Services portal. You’ll need your digital CDPC membership card to complete the application.

👉 Apply through the e-Services portal here

As part of this process, you must also complete a Handgun Safety Course before progressing to your full license. CDPC regularly hosts these courses – you can view upcoming sessions and register through PractiScore.

👉 View our Handgun Safety Courses on PractiScore

3. Create a PractiScore Account

We use PractiScore to manage match registration and club events. You’ll need to create an account to sign up for competitions and track your participation.
